We are proud to see our work awarded two gold medals at the 2024 Good Design Awards; 38 Albermarle Street won in the Architectural Design Category and our ‘Imagine Less. Experience More’ campaign and digital experience in collaboration with Today Design won in the Design Category.
These awards recognise excellence in design and innovation across industries, celebrating projects that contribute positively to people, place and the planet. The theme for the 2024 awards, "The Design Effect," emphasises how good design shapes a better world by solving complex problems and enhancing people's lives.
Accepting the award in Sydney, our COO Emma Telfer spoke to the design thinking behind our pilot purchase pathway project, "Good design is central to everything we do at Assemble."
The jury commented on the high-quality, community-focussed design of the project and innovation behind our purchase pathway; “38 Albermarle Street, Kensington is Assemble’s pilot purchase pathway project, targeting an affordable solution to home ownership for those on moderate incomes. The Jury praised 38 Albermarle Street for being a laudable prototype for the delivery of well-designed, affordable housing at a scale and density that supports community growth and a sense of long-term belonging for all residents, regardless of ownership status.”
We would like to thank all project partners involved in 38 Albemarle Street – importantly project architects Fieldwork and Cassette architects Six Degrees whose design thinking and expertise has positively shaped the project.
For the award win in the Design Category, congratulations to our partners at Today Design for the strategic design and development behind our digital experience and campaigns.
