Safe, quality, affordable housing for renters
In 2021, in response to the growing housing shortfall across the country, Housing Choices Australia and Assemble established an innovative partnership to deliver new social and affordable homes at scale.
Housing Choices Australia is an independent, national, not-for-profit housing provider that develops and manages high quality, accessible and affordable housing for people on lower incomes and people with disability. Housing Choices manages more than 7,600 social and affordable properties that are home to more than 13,200 people in Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales and Tasmania.
In its partnership with Assemble, Housing Choices Australia brings its deep experience in resident selection, tenancy management and community engagement programs that foster inclusive, thriving communities.

Self-determination in action
In 2024 Assemble established its partnership with Aboriginal Housing Victoria with a view to ensuring that social and affordable homes are equally accessible by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents.
Aboriginal Housing Victoria is the largest registered, non-government Aboriginal housing organisation in Australia. As a not-for-profit, independent Aboriginal community organisation, Aboriginal Housing Victoria provides culturally safe, affordable and secure housing to nearly 5,000 Aboriginal Victorians in over 1,800 housing units across Victoria.
