Our purpose

Delivering scalable solutions to increase housing supply

Assemble sees a future where the Australian housing system is fairer, more affordable, more investable and more scalable to enable all people, especially those on middle and lower incomes, to have access to suitable homes. Backed by majority owners, AustralianSuper and HESTA, Assemble’s focus is originating and delivering scalable housing solutions which provide more diverse housing options for both renters and homebuyers across Australia.

Through innovative investment models, Assemble targets the delivery of new housing that meets the needs of middle and lower income households. Assemble’s investment portfolio comprises Build-to-Rent, Build-to-Sell and Build-to-Rent-to-Own housing, and includes mixed-tenure, tenure blind social, affordable and market-rate rental homes.

Partnerships

Assemble partners with government, with industry and with the community housing sector to deliver and manage a range of different housing options on behalf of its investor clients.

This includes assets that are managed in partnership with registered community housing providers such as Housing Choices Australia, one of Australia’s largest national, not-for-profit community housing providers and Aboriginal Housing Victoria, Australia’s largest registered, non-government Aboriginal housing organisation.

Assemble also partners with well-credentialled development partners and government agencies on low, medium and high-rise housing projects across Australia.

National footprint

Assemble’s current asset footprint includes assets in operation, as well as those in development or planning phases, totalling close to 8,000 homes, including over 4,000 social and affordable homes. This footprint spans all Australian states and territories except the Northern Territory and Tasmania.

Looking ahead, Assemble’s pipeline will continue to expand through new partnerships and investment opportunities in housing at scale across Australia.
